I'd try shifting into neutral at a dead stop, turning the locker off from the offroad screen, shifting into 2H (or trying to), and then into reverse and back up for about 5-10 feet. I had a Tacoma that would get stuck in 4L and backing up always did the trick to get the t-case to act right.
