This will absolutely not happen. There aren't enough workers (salary or non-union hourly) to run an assembly plant. In addition, the training it takes to build a vehicle with any kind of competency takes months. Did they have secret training sessions in the basements of all these plants or when...
If I win the lotto many times over, I'm going to one of the firms that build Rally Raid Rangers w/a brand new 6G RR so they can use the VIN plate on my new toy of stupidity that vaguely looks like the truck I brought them.
But I haven't found any info stating if it's normal Ranger/Bronco or Bronco Raptor. I would think they'd go the same route as Bronco Raptor.
I'm just trying to plan for a good set of extra wheels for three season use and keep the stockers for winter tires.
I highly doubt anyone at Ford thinks controlling production volume is a useful tool to maintain unit prices. These are high profit vehicles and that's what is wanted for the bottom line.
There are so many supply chain issues that all the manufacturers are running into. Microchips...
Sorry but everyone is right, you're not getting a loaner until your truck is delivered.
Get a beater to keep you rolling until it comes in, that's what I did. I sold my Focus RS, banked the equity and lucked into a cheap Fiesta hatch that I got for a steal. I hardly drive it since I WFH but...
I ordered an Oxford white Raptor. IMO, it has an understated presence with the stance and the black trim. Goes well with the orange interior accents. The white hides scratches a bit better and looks just a bit "cleaner" in the winter.
Yeah, optional wheel demand sometimes gets under forecasted as well as graphics packages.
I'm glad I don't need/want either of those options, hoping it gets my truck built on time.
I'm with @ThickGatorade on the 35PP speculation. Why would Ford throw every variant possible at launch? Develop and bring out more variants over the life cycle of the vehicle and create more hype. Maybe someone who got an OG RR wants to upgrade a couple years later or whatever, that creates more...
