i was going to get a 2.7 ranger but i found an F150 with a deal too good to pass up. i got a STX crew cab 2wd with a locker for 12K off so I jumped on it. She has a little over a 1000 miles on her at the moment. with the 36gallon tank i can go over 700 miles per fill up if its highway driving...
digital is cool. i hope they actually make the manual specific to the vehicle options rather than the generic "if you have this engine this is what you need" approach like the paper ones do.
its a 1500 dollar option on the F150 over the standard V6 so i suspect it will be similar for the ranger.
if so... its definitely worth it. 375 ft lbs torque + 3.73 gears = properly quick.
word. its a whole lot less maintenance than engines used to have to endure.
i loved my F150 but it was just larger than what i needed and the previous ranger looked interesting on the outside but like a ford focus on the inside which made that a non starter.

the newer 12 injector 2.7's dont have carbon buildup because the normal fuel injectors wash the intake valves like God intended.
i had a 6 injector one, it was a beast, and my stepdad had the newer one and it was even better.
