Not really surprising for a turbo direct injection engine. Personally I wouldn't go any more than 5,000 miles between changes. I would suggest a used oil analysis to check fuel dilution.

Very nice truck. Enjoy. I'm currently driving a 23 Rattler. Great truck but I've found I just don't particularly like driving it. A PITA around town, parking garages, etc. It's just bigger than what I need. When I can order one, I'll be trading it for a 2.7L Ranger.
