  2. Coolant vacuum fill tool of choice

Dear legends, I am buying a coolant vacuum fill tool and would like to have recommendations on which one to buy considering our degas bottle has a weep hole near the neck of the reservoir. I am looking at Maddoxx, OEMTOOL, Airlift, and Snap-on. I prefer not having to modify the seal to prevent...
  3. Plug patch on tire shoulder

The spare comes with standard rim with KO2 wrapped around it. I went with different tires, Yokohama G015, as I am not a fan of KO2 (in Thailand here)
  4. Plug patch on tire shoulder

Thanks for your reply. I have clocked about 1,250 miles during the 2 weeks. Lost about 1/32nd of tread depth. I am considering getting one new tire and put this plugged on for the spare.
  5. Plug patch on tire shoulder

Thanks for all the inputs guys 🙏 Question… so far I have done about 1,250 miles on these tires. I measured the tread depth with my manual gauge to be just above 12/32nd. Brand new tire, from the spec sheet, is 13/32nd. So the difference will be little less than 1/32nd (0.6mm) across the rear...

  7. Any issues changing wheel and tire size?

One issue with different tire size is with the circumference. If the difference is big it could affect the transmission shift point.
  8. Loud popping sound while reversing (ISSUE SOLVED)

ISSUE SOLVED!! It turns out to be a loose camber bolt in the right lower control arm bushing. I guess my previous alignment guy didn’t torque it properly. Anyway thanks for all the inputs guys! Kit
  9. Loud popping sound while reversing (ISSUE SOLVED)

Updates: - Raised the front end, roll the front wheels and found no noise or vibration from driveshafts. Tried to shake the wheels and all seems to be tight and solid - Mock around with skid plates, grease the bolts and re-tighten them. Now I still have the popping noise but ONLY when driving...
  10. Loud popping sound while reversing (ISSUE SOLVED)

Yesterday morning, I took both skid plates out. Drive around for 30 minutes. Tested for the noise, no popping noise at all. Put the skid plates back on with grease on all the contact points. Went for errand for the day, no noise when backing up. Came back home after heavy rain, backing up into...
  11. Loud popping sound while reversing (ISSUE SOLVED)

My issue is very similar to the poster of this thread below: https://www.fordraptorforum.com/threads/popping-sound-in-reverse.81976/ Some people mentioned IWE (Integrated Wheel Ends) System. Do our trucks have this? Never heard of it before.
  12. Loud popping sound while reversing (ISSUE SOLVED)

The sound is rather metallic, for the lack of better words. It seems to come from down below my foot (right side of the truck)
  13. Loud popping sound while reversing (ISSUE SOLVED)

Thanks. CV boots look fine, no tear or leak. What would be the easiest way to check the axle joints?
  14. Loud popping sound while reversing (ISSUE SOLVED)

I have been intermittently getting a single loud popping sound from under the truck in the front while slowly reversing (after 1-2 wheel revolutions). Can happen both in 2H or 4A. I can sometimes repeat it if I step hard on the brake while reversing. Crawled underneath and found no loose bolt...

I live in the tropic with lots of rain most of the years. Went with Cooper AT3 4S. No complaint.
  16. Vacuum reading at idle

Thank you very much for the info!!! From what I gather, vacuum reading is a good indication of engine health. This RR is my first GTDI in a long time (came from diesel world). I will keep an eye on the perimeters you mentioned. Thanks again.
  17. Vacuum reading at idle

What are the normal vacuum reading at idle? Mine are as the following: -Transmission in Drive 16 inHg (-7.8 psi) -Transmission in N or P 18.5 inHg (-9 psi) Engine fully warmed, AC on, at sea level. Interested to see if you guys are getting similar idle vacuum reading. Thanks in advance
  18. TPMS off by 5 psi - PROBLEM SOLVED Old guy can't read gauge

I concur. Among different brands of digital tire pressure gauge, ARB is the only one that is right on the mark with TPMS.
  19. Cooling Fan issues

I am at 76,000 miles living in the tropic and the fan noise had been as you described. No issue with the cooling system (fingers crossed ?). Coolant temps always been normal.
