I did a lot of reading before finally purchasing the Gen3 Amber 3-light kit for my 24 RR knowing that I'd have to modify them to fit flush. I thought I'd through in some tips here for others that are wondering what is involved. It's not difficult but did take me about 3 hours. Before I started I...
Installed the 4DTech Auto Start Stop Eliminator. It was a royal PITA to get the connector out of the module but once out the new cable install only took 1 min. I was having a hard time getting contorted and getting my finger behind the connector and in position to press the release clip. I...
Following this. I just started getting Trailer Brake Module Fault warning on startup this week. First time I had my trailer attached but using the 4-pin connector (trailer does not have brakes). Roads were wet at the time. I have since been getting it even without the trailer attached. I did go...

I've used Goo-Gone automotive to remove pine sap from paint and glass and it worked well. I got it while it was still soft though. Just make sure to remove it before it can etch the clear coat.
On long trips I've noticed my 15 Pro charging indicator cycle on/off when it's near full charge. I wondered if it was part of the Qi logic to prevent overcharging and/or overheating. Otherwise, it charges fine.
Works great. Carplay/Apple Maps also displays upcoming turn info, when following a route, at the top of the main display like the Ford Navigation maps. Not quite a heads up display but better than having to glance at the center stack.
I have about 2000mi with my tune now. My highway mpg is exactly the same above 70mph. However, in mixed driving on country roads 45-65mph I am seeing an improvement of about 3 mpg. I attribute it to the improved shifting profile.
6in drop works for my trailer. It needs 18" hitch height to be level with ~150lb tongue weight. Heavier tongue weight, or a load in the bed also, would force me to a 4in drop. Ultimately you want the towed trailer to be close to level when loaded.
Nice to see I'm not the only one that uses more than one map while road tripping. Though I only use two. ;) I like to use the built in Nav for guidance, mostly for the dash display integration, but also google maps for most current traffic information. We do a 13hr drive regularly and have to...
Not sure about Sync 3 but this does work with Sync 4 in my Raptor. I usually stream music in CarPlay and use Ford Nav. After doing what you need to do in the CarPlay screens you can get back to Ford Nav through the home menu or, in my case, the blue Nav shortcut button in the bottom of display...
I was thinking the same thing today while driving on the interstate. It's like it works to well. ;) I tried taking my hands completely off the wheel for a while, except for a slight nudge when the warning popped up. It was tracking exactly in the center of the lane, even in the curves, without...
Yes, you can install yourself and the instructions are easy to follow. Just make yourself aware of the warranty implications (many posts here about that) and determine if the risk is acceptable to you. Not a big risk, in my opinion, but others here will feel differently.
Yes, revs/mi is what the Procal needs. When I entered a new value it seemed to go through 3 programming cycles, not sure why. Maybe had to hit multiple modules? After the first one it threw a P160A code but it cleared it on the last one before instructing to power off.
