They want to buy it from you for trade-in value
Thatâs literally the definition of the term. If you want retail, get in the car business.
Last year, I bought a similar 2023, and sought out a SCab for the bed. I didnât pay extra for aftermarket wheels and tires, and doubt if anyone will pay up...
Plenty of those mid-size pickups were manufactured before 2020. You and the other guy donât get it, it was roughly half of the mid-size pickups on the road in one part of the country. It âs not an observation of the entire country, and it wasnât new vehicles, in fact many of them were over 10...
In TX, full-size quad cabs is the most common, but in the NE it was mid-size pickups, 50/50 extended cabs. Given the choices Ford and GM made, I think their owners will be keeping them longer than initially expected.
I just finished a 1000 mile trip through MA and NY with a little bit of PA and CT. I saw very few full-size pickups, mostly mid-size and they were 50% extended cabs. Ford and GM are leaving money on the table.
And theirs is a 2.3, so ymmv.
If you are buying your tires at Discount Tire, they have a database that allowed me to buy larger tires on my sedan, basically the same as your idea, up one size, up one profile. If that isnât conclusive, then youâre into solutions; a heat gun will ârelieveâ...
Well, youâve got bragging rights on otd price, thatâs for sure. Then I think about using some of that payload, and there goes the perfectly painted bed, or using some of your towing capacity, and, oops no hitch, and it adds to your price. Maybe youâre getting aftermarket.
I hope you enjoy...
Unless you work at Ford, your comment doesnât address the OPâs question, adds nothing to the thread.
There will be no Supercab until there is, and batting down curiosity or hope isnât helpful, in my opinion.
If there is no Supercab with 2025 Job 1, Ford has lost a new vehicle sale from me.
This is a tough crowd, MC, too much arguing that youâre wrong instead of acknowledging that EPA regulations were written in such a way that they make you buy heavier and heavier vehicles when you only want more utility.
In spite of the odds, Iâll be waiting until year-end to see if Ford gives...
Larger tires without a lift, by definition, take away factory clearance. Then when you need to turn into a tight parking spot or approach max payload, there could be rubbing. If you never carry anything or go into a busy parking lot, you might not experience rubbing, but there is less...
Iâm waiting to see if Ford makes a 2025 extended cab 6â bed Ranger, but have driven my 2007 Infiniti G35S largely trouble-free for 138,000 miles. I think if the 6â bed doesnât happen itâs a green light for the Frontier, which has a similar normally aspirated V6 engine.
Donât get me wrong, the...
Vehicles are tracked every step of the way. Whatâs unlikely is a dealer spilling the beans, but maybe OP got a dealer with a more transparent attitude.
