Why do you need to mount your phone? CarPlay connects my iPhone and then I toss the phone to the right of the wireless charging pad. If it needs charging I plug in the USB-C wire from my 4 port hub.

Well - you got me to go out the garage and check. When the truck is locked the gas door is not locked. So yes, the door is always able to be opened.

This is what I meant but I guess this is an AVS product- notice the middle part for added deflection. I think the deflector part is for rocks and the lip is for bugs
