So, did you use the license plate bracket and zip tie it? I have the Yakima HD Bar. I was thinking of figuring out a way to rig the license plate bracket with channel bolts on the bottom of the bar.

Has anyone mounted the camera on the license plate with the bracket? I'm a little concerned of these these two things The tailgate will hit it when it is down the camera would cover too much of the license plate
