I cleaned this up from his text message but this was his response
t just occurred to me—if all he does is charge the battery, that still doesn’t explain why the alternator wasn’t charging it properly when I was driving it around. And I still have no idea what drained it to begin with.
Okay, I need a second opinion.
I just dropped off my truck at the dealer to investigate a possible power drain. I mentioned that I had a Wolfbox mirror plugged into the 12V (cigarette lighter) outlet in the center console.
The service advisor said he was 98% sure that the mirror was drawing...
Hi all. I'm looking for advice.
For note, the background of this question is in reference to the Wolfbox dashcam digital mirror.
The power adaptor an ACC wire with a bullet connect that I think is .25".
The Micro 3 Add-a-Fuse I picked up from amazon, I think has a .187" female connector.
Are...
After some careful reading, I don't think I explained myself well enough.
I do understand now that the piece that you were talking about shaving was the part of the add-a-fuse that goes into the fuse box. That's actually not the piece I was talking about not being able to get fit correctly.

First-time modern truck owner here — last one I owned was a 2002. Learning the hard way with my 2024 Ranger Raptor.
I was packing up from a camping trip when I tried to start the truck — and got hit with a bunch of error messages. The one that kept repeating was that the emergency brake couldn’t...
When connecting up the hardwire kit, did anyone have any issues with the bullet connectors when trying to attach the 'add-a-tap' from amazon? I can't get it to go in all of the way.
Thanks! I'll see if I can do the same.
Alternatively, I thought about just laying it along the t-slot groove in the yakima overhaul hd.
This is my project for the day. :D
First, let me just thank you for posting such a detailed article. This is incredibly helpful.
I wonder if it might be possible to take a pic of where you fit the wire through before attaching it to your bar?
I also have a tonneau cover (Retrax) and Yakima Overhaul HD Bars where I plan to mount...
So, did you use the license plate bracket and zip tie it?
I have the Yakima HD Bar. I was thinking of figuring out a way to rig the license plate bracket with channel bolts on the bottom of the bar.
Has anyone mounted the camera on the license plate with the bracket?
I'm a little concerned of these these two things
The tailgate will hit it when it is down
the camera would cover too much of the license plate
Oh, I think I get what you are saying.. you want a single long platform to go across the Yakima bars above the bed and the roof.
Check these videos. Not exactly what you are looking for, but perhaps it helps in piecemeal.
