Instead of trading in my 2020 Ranger XL when I got my 24 XLT in June, I took my dealer’s advice and sold it to CarMax for 3k less than I paid for it 3.5 years ago. Luckily, in Missouri, you can sell a car without trading it in and still get the net amount tax benefit.
It appears to be a handoff issue between Sync soft and CarPlay. When I’m listening to radio/Sirius and ask Siri to text or ask a question, it will not return to radio/Sirius. If I ask Alexa something, no issues.
My ordered XLT was Feb 8; in production May 11; back from spray-in May 13; has sat on lot since; got built notice yesterday. Gave up mid-June and got almost the same build (FX4 instead of Sport) from dealer stock 30 miles away. No regrets.
I agree 100 with this and have little to add. My order (which finally got "built" today after two months in production) was a Sport with the LRD, but I'm very happy with the FX4, even though it will rarely be employed. Someone will snatch up my order on delivery, I am very sure. But I am...
After ditching my "almost built" never -going-to-arrive-order, and getting almost exactly what my order was from dealer stock (including color), I am happy to say that I have zero negative issues to report. I do see the tiny tailgate issue on the passenger side, but that gap is so tiny that I'd...
Thanks! I feel badly because my dealer just got these from another dealer and I was supposed to pick them up, but 25%, plus used points to get them. Thanks again for posting!
The F-150 sold 750,000 units last year; far surpassing the Silverado/Sierra (combined) and Ram; yet trucks are still the number 1,2,3 best selling vehicles in the U.S. The backload of F-150s is well known because of the covid chip shortage, which also affected every vehicle manufacturer in the...
The economy is fine; the market's on fire; everyone is spending like crazy, inflation is much better; there's not a single economic indicator that says the U.S. economy isn't the strongest in the world; interest rates will come down, and all of us here are spending 40-70k on a truck. We're all...
Gave up on my order sitting on a lot somewhere gathering dust, with no real prospect of it ever getting delivered. Found my beauty at a great local dealership and she's home in my driveway. XLT FX4, Advance Towing/Info Tech. Will have to wait for the tray mats because there aren't any available...
5/6 blend date; 5/11 build; 5/16 hold. Still on hold. Found another XLT in azure gray tri-coat FX4, Advance Towing w/into tech. Almost exactly to my build. Bought it. You can find XLT FX4s now on lots increasing. I really believe the units on undefined holds with no updates are never going to be...
Get anXLT with the FX4 package. No, it's not a Raptor. But it will get you off pavement (if you really do that), has great suspension, beautiful ride and are more and more available on dealer lots. Loaded up, around 47k.
Finally found a build very close to my order; XLT azure gray tri-coat and the FX4 instead of 4x4 Sport, and paid about 1k under sticker, then added bedliner and of course those pesky processing fees. Still, very happy. Checked, the doors, hood, interior fittings; all good. The drive compared to...
It appears to me that some of the QC holds never really come off of them. My truck was produced on 5/11, is confirmed to have been built, and has been on a hold since 5/13 with no updates and the ETA of June 2-8 come and gone, still "in production.'' All the while many trucks have been built...
Funny, I did the very same thing this morning. And you’re right. There are production dates of just two weeks ago as built and/or shipped. Same configuration as my blend date of 5/11 and no holds on those. So, who the hell knows.
Thanks. I also have found a perfect match on a dealer's lot (where I bought my 2020 XL STX) about 30 miles away, except for color. My May 11 build (Feb 8 order) who knows when or if it will get released and I really want to have this by July 1. I've never met my local dealer sales guy, but he's...
