You have to register your Vin and the ASE installer with Ford Performance to keep your 3 year power train warranty

spoke with Ford performance. Any ASE (red seal if canada) mechanic can install this to obtain the 3 year powertrain warranty. if you do this yourself and are not certified, you "can" and most likely will be denied any powertrain warranty from Ford
