A variation on this is to use gel hand sanitizer that is isopropyl alcohol based. Use the plain stuff without any perfumes or moisturizers added to it. Put a blob on the sap and let it sit for a while and the sap wipes right off. You can also put a piece of wax paper or paper towel over the...
Yeah, that cracking and flaking is classic brake pad overheating. What do the rotors look like? Do they show any signs of overheating? I wonder if it is just crappy friction material or if you need to be looking at increasing the thermal capacity of the braking system.
I got a little excited when I heard about this truck, and I was going to drive up and take a look at it. But I always google the VIN, and I saw the pictures on Hight's web site. Now, I really didn't want the graphics and optional wheels, but the seats sealed the "I don't want it" deal ... yuck ...
FYI, I never said it was the Dana Advantek M220. I simply asked IF it was the Advantek. Nothing more.
Anyhow, the question still remains about what type of pinion bearings it has.
You can get a different air hose end or use valve extensions. If you use extensions, don't leave them on.
I use these cheap plastic extensions on my old Camaro to prevent scratching my wheel covers.
Rokblokz will not sell mud flaps without their "RB" logo on them. You can get the logo in black, but it is still noticeable.
On my Gladiator, I had to buy larger (wider / longer) flaps than I wanted and then trim them to get rid of that cheesy logo.
Try contacting Stainless Works and see if they can make you a tip that meets your specs. It's been a while, but they have made some custom polished 304 tips for me in the past.
Mitchell Selig Ford in Windsor, CT has a cactus grey one on the lot for $10k over sticker.
Funny thing is that they are happy to order one for you at MSRP with no markup. They told me that the one on the lot was ordered & 'sold' at MSRP, but then the buyer backed out. So, they were willing to...
I suggest checking door alignment and decal placement.
The one at my local dealer has crooked RAPTOR decals on both sides and the driver's side door alignment was about 1/8" off.
Looks great!
Did you notice any faint 'shadowing' of the sticker or faint outline leftover? Just wondering since I've had this happen with a few other vehicles that I've de-stickered.
Here are a few others with similar issues.
If you start looking closely at people's pictures, you'll notice that the alignment seems to be a common issue.
:
At least there are a bunch of people in the same boat as you. In many pictures & videos posted, I've noticed that the passenger side blackout trim is not aligned. It really jumps out at you on the lighter colors, but it's there on a lot of vehicles.
That's what my local dealer told me as well ... just check the box on their order form and it comes without any decals at all.
You are the first person that I'm aware of that has ordered with the 'no decals' box checked. Keep us posted on how it actually arrives.
This is kind of good news, I think. I have a Gladiator Mojave with Selec-Trac, which is a similar clutch-based awd system. I definitely would prefer to not have the 4Auto system engaged by default. It isn't needed in most conditions, and it actually adds a little NHV to the drivetrain.
Well, maybe the Owners Manual isn't correct then.
The Owners Manual states that MyMode should be able to save the stop/start setting.
Since your experience is that this isn't happening, then it makes sense that maybe the Manual is wrong about the default drive setting too.
