HELP !! Somehow gouged the gearshift knob on my 2024 Lariat (has the shorty gearshfter). Local Ford parts says you have to buy the whole shifting assembly to get a new knob - $498 ....... no thank you. If I can remove just the knob I may be able to work on the gouge to make it look better...

I ended up using some composite material (UHMW I believe it is called) made for pads for boat trailers and other things. Cut them to length and drilled holes. Since I have a Lariat, I didn't think I needed the slant like on new ones you can purchase, since I can adjust front up with power seat...

They pulled the bed off my truck to remove ......... or at least that is what they said.:crazy:

Did you use them to just raise the front or front and back to raise the whole seat. ?

Thanks John - never dawned on me that the spacers from Desert are sloped. That does give me some pause on a DIY on this.

I have a Lariat with power seat, and even at the highest setting, I still need to sit higher.

Would like to raise the driver's seat 3/4"-1". Desert Does It says I will need two sets of their seat jackers to do this - $169.99. Seems pretty pricey for a handful of spacers. Any alternatives ?

My dealer contacted Ford and they said it is NOT supposed to be there - that is why some trucks have it and some don't. So Dealer pulled the bed on the truck and removed it - seemed extreme way to go about that - but I wasn't paying for it - so didn't care.
