1/4".... The allowable Margin on this gap is 14mm +/- 2.5mm. The tailgate and bed are produced separately and "married" at the body shop, and then sent to paint together. Having a gap less than what you see here on these parts would be close to impossible on a mass produced vehicle.
Kind of. For every launch there are build phases. EPT, TT1, TT2, PP1, PP2, MP1, MP2, Job 1, Job 2. In this case, Job 2 also represents PPAP stages of parts and 24.5/25 MY.
LOL. Weird as Saturday is a Super Saturday and there is about 550 Ranger Base units scheduled to build at MAP. Unfortunately, they are a day behind in blends, so I assume Monday will be the Ranger heavy day...
As suppliers, we use the suffix of the part numbers for paint colors. We typically do not utilize the "paint code" per se. I make the Raptor front bumper and rear base Ranger bumper.
May want to verify that paint code. I only say that because the Ranger base rear bumper grey is called Boulder Grey. However, on the Raptor it is actually called Precision Grey.
You are not wrong in any of your statements. For what its worth, dealing with the OEM's as a supplier can be just as frustrating...LOL.. The companies are so big, and tbh, big doesn't equal better, most of the time. From a lot of the feedback on here, it seems they took a stab at minimalizing...
I can tell you that a lot of effort and vigilance is on final customer satisfaction, and, no quality issue get's ignored when called out. The culture of quality over production is very present and real. For major issues like body fitment, yes, for sure shipping ETA would be affected, as when 1...
I completely understand your frustration. There were many obstacles as well during this launch, including supplier shortages along with the UAW strike. However, as a customer, this things likely do not mean much when you are waiting for a vehicle with anticipation. Again, I understand the...
The issue I assume many of you are seeing is that many, many, many trucks were produced during launch, (post MP1 is saleable PPAP'd vehicles.) however, to ensure absolute customer quality, the actual delivery for them has been delayed, as every vehicle is going through extensive quality...
So, to shed some light....The blend julian date is very fluid. It depends upon Bronco production and line variations. Lately, MAP has been very close to the indicated julian date. But usually a few days behind. For example, today the julian date should be 129-xxxx, however, the build started...
I can assist possibly, as we produce the Valance assembly. The majority of it is mounted to the bumper via push pins. The bottom skid plate connects with push pins and two torx bolts behind the grill. Be careful with the two RPA sensor bezels, as they are sonically welded to plastic skid plate...
