Like several of you I tinted the side makers on my Ranger Raptor. While I do like the look of the tint on my all black truck I’m not thrilled with how much the tint reduced the light output.
Has anyone replaced the OEM bulbs with something brighter and if so what did you use? Are the OEM...
Where I go is a chip/seal road. Mostly chip. Ripped it to shreds. However, I really like the look of the Raptor liner on the lower bumper and skid plate. Matches the side steps well.
I used the Raptor primer, Raptor adhesive promoter and the Raptor 2k bedliner spray can. When you first pull the trigger on the liner spray can be at least 3’ from the bumper. I learned that the hard way!
On my 24 RR I pulled the lower bumper and the sensors. Scuffed up the bumper and then sprayed on Raptor liner. It complements the side steps very well and is extremely tuff.
Covered the sensors in a black vinyl.
I did not have to modify anything to install. However if I recall correctly, been over a year ago, that when I went to set the light in it looked like I was going to have to do some cutting. Then realized I had the brackets on the wrong sides.
If there is a 50/50 chance of making the wrong...
Mine had a nice rubber seal with tape. I don’t see it leaking. I didn’t like that the screws they sent were silver color. The whole thing is black. If you’re OCD like me you’ll want to address that detail.
