They didn't really kibosh the deal, we did. We could have taken the truck but when contemplated taking the in-laws to see their son in Charlotte we didn't think we could handle the 700 miles of complaining. The possibility of them being left beside the road on either I-79 or I-77 would have...
So my 2.7 L Lariat showed up on Thursday. It's a great looking truck in Blue with the chrome package and most every option. Sadly I rejected it. It wasn't for the trade allowance as the dealer was more than fair with me on that end. It was just that from a practical standpoint the truck...
My Lariat said "In production" and then I got an email that it had been finished and it showed up at the dealers before any additional emails were received. It was in the production status for about a week and a half.
I have NEVER bought an extended warranty and probably never will. The reason the dealers push extended warranties is that they make a lot of money on them. The company selling you the extended warranty is making a big profit on them. If they are making a profit then someone is incurring an...
I realize that my Genesis will only be declining in value but paying list for the last vehicle off the line in any model year is not smart business sense either. The ‘24’s will be starting to get marked down as the ‘25’s come rolling in.
So today I got an email from Ford that my Ranger is out of production. Now the questions are, when will it get delivered and what will they now give me for my trade? If they are telling me my trade has eroded any more I think I'll pass on the Ranger and wait for a '25 or something different.
I received an update from Ford. My truck is still in production. I also got the dreaded “unexpected delays” in the email. Now I just wait. I’m not crazy about having the last ‘24 off the line but my choices are limited so the wait is on.
For what it is worth, West Herr Ford of Hamburg, NY has a white Raptor in stock at MSRP. Not sure where you are but if you are anywhere near Western NY, they are a great dealership to work with.
Sirius XM has to have the worst customer service of any company on this planet. Every six months I have to call them and threaten to cancel because they want to charge me $130+ for six months. I call and threaten to cancel and they reduce it to $36 for six months. Every six months we play...
Oh do I feel your pain! My 2022 Genesis GV80 had a list of $68,000 new and when I placed the order for my Lariat in May, the Blue Book was $41,000. As I have done more research I find that "luxury cars" are known for that type of hit. I'm waiting to see how far down the pike the value has...
I'm aware that any security measure can be defeated if someone has the desire to do so. I'm mostly interested in just standard security such as being in a parking lot during the day or perhaps at a motel at night. We don't keep anything of extreme value in the truck bed, but there's always the...
My Lariat 2.7 L is supposed to be built next week. I didn't order the factory bed cover so I have some questions about bed covers. Are lockable bed covers necessary or does the tailgate lock secure the cover as well for those covers without a separate lock? I will probably opt for a roll up...
We had a 2020 Blazer with an automatic transmission and we towed it four down. There are specific vehicles that can be towed and auto or manual transmission is not necessarily the determining factor. A transfer case that can go into neutral is a great situation.
I'll stay with the Ranger...
I supposed I need to decide if we want to get back into RVing. The used market is just flooded right now and it is a huge buyers market.
The trailer is probably the best option which is better than relying on Enterprise for local touring. Once my Lariat arrives then I'll see what we want to do.
