Methinks I see why Ford doesn’t offer an SC with a 6’ bed!!
It would increase torsional stress and they’d have to reduce the load limit of the bedrails to oh- I dunno- maybe 30 lbs!
Why if 300 lb Tiny Jim on the framing crew leaned on one it would collapse!

I found it interesting that in their new generation Tacoma, Toyota is included the SC.
AND made a real effort to configure the space behind the seats for tradesmen. They are in business to make money and have market research folks also.

FWIW, my 2006 Ranger Sport (a factory lifted model) has a driver’s grab handle. And vinyl floors and roll up windows…actually a stripper truck.
(And as a person with a serious back problem, I use on each entry.)
