I enabled Silent Mode in the BdyCM, and added the Silent Mode button in the APIM. I'm brand-new to FORScan, so I'm not really qualified to give any instruction. There is, however, a thread in the Ranger5G forum that I found helpful...
Problem solved: I found FORScan and added a switch to the center console screen that disables all lights when the doors are opened. While I was at it, I disabled the "welcome chimes" that play when the key is turned in the ignition, and made it so that a double-click is required to activate...
Thanks, Craig, but unfortunately none of this affects exterior lights turning on when a door is opened. I had Ford software help on the line, but they could not point me to any setting that would prevent exterior lights from coming on when the door opens.
When I open any door on my 2024 XLT, pretty much all of the external lights come on, which is annoying when in a dark campground at night. Does anyone know of a way to disable this? Ford's support line could not help.
I'm a newbie, so please direct me if this is posted in the wrong place...
