Just shy of 4K miles, when I run the heater it smells like hot antifreeze in the cab. Just started this 2 days ago and no visible leaks anywhere. Anyone else have this issue?
I have the XLT with the 2.3, it has plenty of power and gets good gas mileage. I think the 2.7 is a twin turbo and to me, that's twice as many things to go wrong.
I didn't get the tow package either as none of the dealers in our area had an XLT in the color I wanted with it. I bought a Curt hitch from E-Trailer and bought the adapter to go from the 4 to 7 pin hookups. I haven't towed the boat yet and an curious to see how this 4 cyl does with it.
I would also like to see what other's have done. Ford put a 4 pin connector back up under the bumper over near the left side tail light. Have to be careful pulling my trailer 7 pin adapter out of the 4 pin under the bumper or I'll scrape half the skin off my hand. Poor design and they should...
I am not having that issue at least not yet but I have a question. To get a Sirius song to start at the beginning when you change stations, you're supposed to select Tunestart in the settings. I have it selected but songs never start at the beginning like they did in my previous Ram truck...
While backing up and applying the brakes on my XLT, the screen view is washed out by the brake lights making it difficult to see. As much as I'd like to install the brighter LED's, I'm afraid my screen view will be about gone.
I use red masking tape for attaching the lights on my red T-bucket roadster when I'm in the Christmas parade. Works real well and easy to take off when you want. You can get masking tape in lots of colors at Walmart. Zip ties work well where you can use them too.
I have the same vehicle as you. I have the same display with the exception of on the bottom it is apparently showing what gear you are in where it says 10/10? My 2024 XLT does not show that, is it in the settings?
A dealer told me that Ford doesn't put the covers on the motor because of heat buildup under the hood with a turbo. Weather that be true or they just want to save money, I don't know. I know you can buy one for about $150m from Levittown Ford on line.
The filter was not accessable like that on my XLT without removing the wheelwell liner. There are also several metal lines (brake lines?) that you couldn't get the filter past. I'm very mechanically inclined since working on vehicles and custom cars for many years.
I recently did the first oil change on mine. Unless you have access to a lift, you're in for a treat getting at the filter, you almost need another joint in your arm. Being that it's so hard to get at, it was good of the engineers to put in a spill channel to catch the oil as you spin the...
LOL, the fragrance is up to you. Endust is great for all the black plastic under the hood such as the air filter box, fuse box and engine cover if you have one. A Ford rep told me they don't put engine covers on the Rangers so as to keep heat down due to the turbo. True or not, I don't know...
The viewing area on my 10" screen is 5-1/4 x 8-1/2" and the Amazon description for the one you bought is 4.65 x 8". Are their measurements accurate? If they are, then you aren't getting complete coverage of the viewing area?
I run the car show circuit here in N. FL. with my roadster. You can get really fanatical and overthink car detailing but I like to keep it simple since I do it so much. All it takes is someone pulling out of a dirt road in-front of you and all your hard work was just ruined. Here's what works...
