it’s probably at the top hat. if yours are the 2.5 performance series- that plastic ring at the top rubs the coil. hit it with some spray silicone. i did that to my 2.0 on my 2020 and that took care of it.
no, it’s on a pdf i saw, you can’t buy them. they come with the cap/camper. that’s what makes it a pain. no actual close ups of them.
i got locked out fusion, but i’m going to see if i can come up with something.
other idea- take existing bed caps off- fill the voids with epoxy to make it...
so alu cab makes one. it’s part of the fitment kit for their caps. all it is- aluminum with the bed profile on top with a 90 degree lip on the inside.
we have a composite overload spring, that’s that only difference i’ve seen physically. in sure the spring rates are different because my truck now rides almost as nice my my 2020 with tremor leafs. (because the 2020 fx4 leafs were trash)
it’s funny- my buddy just sent me your video a few days ago. it had me thinking about some things- my xtrusion rack- if i could stretch it 7”, i could put the tent in between the uprights. so theoretically i could still carry a kayak on top.
btw- you idea has a ton of potential. if you made a...
i use SCS a lot for stuff, but suck at cad. i see now you can do a drawing and their Ai program converts it. is that what you did?
Also, very nice work. i love it when people can’t find what they want, and just do it themselves!
i had one of those too, before the rack- it was a good cover!
only problem is the amount i have to hack out of the tracks to clear the rack brackets.
i really did like that cover though
does anyone know of a clamp on top style tonneau, (roll or trifold) that doesn’t have a taper to the back? i’ve been through 3 various covers, and none clear my wide wing brackets on my xtrusion rack.
my only other idea is try a bed cover for a gladiator as on paper- the measurements check out...
