So you're saying that in the event of an accident, all doors unlock automatically, unless I have programmed auto unlock off?

On my ranger, it is only for unlocking the truck. Not for when engine is shut off. That is the exact reason why I want to activate it.

If anyone can help.......My 19 ranger xlt had a setting that allowed only the driver door to unlock when the engine was turned off. My 24 xlt doesn't offer this feature. I've read that you can enter programming mode and program it with the key. 1st question....can anyone confirm this? 2nd...

Did the 5 pin work for you? I purchased a 3 pin (recommended by fellow ranger owner). After looking at all the connections, I'm not sure which one is correct. Do you mind helping a girl out? Thanks in advance.
