You can just do a reset of the sync system from steering wheel and it will reconnect, also I found that if you turn off automatic updates it happens less frequently.
Shouldn’t be a problem, other manufactures like bmw offer tunes at time of purchase, now ford will too on new rangers, likely next year it might be standard
