The KO3s are soooo good in the snow. They are far superior to the KO2s I had on my last truck. I would almost swear they are a full out snow the way they grip.
I'll take a contrarian view. Installed the tune now 3 weeks ago. Overall not impressed. Granted the Raptor is not under powered in gnrl but around town driving is really no different. When you get on it it does feel a bit more spicey but nothing impressive.
I purchased the tune mainly for the...
I have an appt tomorrow and the service tech wanted to do all the updating and downloading of the software. I did register it to my Ford performance account though.
I believe the study used an eco boost 2.3L with DI only and did show the benefit of detergents. Maybe the detergents are getting there via the EGR system or possibly there is valve overlap and the intake valves are not completely shut when the fuel is injected. Just hypothetically thinking here
Boost is Absolute measured at the manifold as in Manifold Absolute Pressure MAP sensor. Fuel is added based on the MAP and desired Lambda. The turbo compensates for thinner atmospheric pressures which is why turbo work great at high altitudes.
Definitely I do and will. My comments were...
Soo yes with higher boost and bad gas your are at increased risk for knocking. Luckily your engine has knock sensors and tables for pulling timing should pre-ignition detonation occur. It actually has many tables that constantly adjust timing, boost, and fueling based on lots of metrics not just...
Sooo just to add fuel to the fire.... modern ECUs are pretty darn good at managing all the common types of fuel (save E85) that you will encounter at the pump without damaging your vehicle. I would bet you even the performance tune will not eliminate the built in safety protocols designed to...
A good deal of the misunderstanding appears to be confusion regarding the warranty on the performance parts or kit and the warranty on the vehicle itself.
Ordered those and a few others. There are two different types those that require removing the OEM valve and those that are meant to be "pass thru". Also some did not work with typical tire guages and others needed special caps. After a bunch of ordering and returning the brand Milton worked...
I am really interested in the tranny reprograming. I read elsewhere it is quite significant. I can tell you coming from two vehicles with the ZF8HP (70 and 50), there is definitely room for improvement.
Anyone else find it hard to check pressure on the beadlock wheels. The valve stem is hard to reach. Maybe just a new cap would help. I bought a locking gauge and filller which work great. Just can’t get my fat fingers in there to take the cap off.
