Had an Intech Luna for years, can't even tell it's behind you. Loved it but felt it was time to get an inside toilet and a little more space. Just got an Intech Sol Eclipse. Can feel it a bit more at 3600 dry, 4800 GVW but 2.3L XLT FX4 with 2" Eibach lift and 33's does just fine. Avg 15mpg towing.
I noticed my anodized was fading as well on the mount. I emailed the company, and they immediately sent me a replacement without question, plus some swag to go along with it.
I found aftermarket actuators for $149 and install was pretty straightforward. I wired to the tailgate actuator, then up behind brake light. Now the topper lift gate unlocks with the tailgate using the truck's key fob. You can do all three doors, I didn't want to take the time.
Tackform responded and they're great. They are glad to be made aware and informed me to please let the groups and forum members know they stand behind their product and they'll make it right. The immediately sent a replacement.
