Hello,
While this is my 3rd Ranger (1993, 2003, and now this one) it is my first 4x4 setup, and my first 4 banger. I am impressed to say the least. It is a fun little truck to drive. The 2.3L turbo and 10R80 work well together so far. I say that as it only has 2100 miles on it now. Hopefully this truck will be as good to me as the previous two Rangers and my old trusty1999 F150. I am a Mustang nut by heart. I am on my 6th currently and 5 of the 6 I have owned have all been modified with nothing less than a Supercharger upgrade. So when I say this little truck is fun...for a 4 banger that is a compliment. I only would like to turn it up a bit as I know that the current Mustang ecoboost runs the same engine and puts out 315HP/350T at the flywheel.That would be a sweet upgrade from the conservatively stock 270HP on the current 2025 though again I must state it is very fun to drive especially in SPORT mode.
Thanks for having this site up. Wish I had known about it before buying a bed cover. That is my only regret at the moment. Trying to get REALTRUCK (BAKFLIP) to resolve a warranty issue on their MX4 model I bought and had professionally installed yet leaks like a screen door. The distributor told me that is just how it is and refuses to do anything beyond a 10 minute rail adjustment, and that the covers are only advertised to be "water resistant" though there is no mention of the term on BAKFLIPS website. However they boast the huge improvement on their Gen3 MX4 and show water being dumped on it while boasting about the improvement. The purchase is only two weeks old. Realtruck has examined my photos and admits an issue with the rails not sealing and offered to send new bed rails though I have no one to install them given the dealer's last remark. Awaiting a final determination from Realtruck given the circumstance.
