Wanted simple wide throw lighting for trail driving.
Looked at Rigid and Baja Design.
Went with Baja Design due to being able to change pattern of light by simply changing lenses.
1. Popped out two plastic rivets where the lights are mounted
2. Drilled an extra hole in light bracket for desired horizontal spacing
3. Cut off what appears to be license plate mount above passenger side light to optain clearance for bolting on light bracket.
4. Mounted lights
5. Ran and attached wires to upfitter/aux/yellow wire above D in FORD
Let there be light....

I suggest verifying the dimensions of any pod light you are considering. The verticle space where these pod lights are monted is only 3.5 inches high. At the store, we removed one from the box and held it in place to verify the fit before completing the purchase. The pod lights on this Raptor are Baja Designs Squadron Pro, clear, wide. Lenses can be changed for different light patterns or a yellow cover can be pushed onto the front. Thanks for the feedback, its appreciated.

Looks like you could fit one more on each side.

Yes that is why I chose that location, but going to try just two lights for now. To add two more lights in-between these will require some custom bracket work. With temperatures up to 115 degrees in the desert here I did not wast to restrict intercooler air flow. There are two more plastic rivets closer to the centerline of the vehicle in this area. It would likely require a piece of flat steel with two holes in it. One hole to bolt into the plastic rivet holes a second hole to bolt onto the pod light bracket. Pretty easy with a vice and a drill.

I would like to see some pictures at night with just the Baja Design on and then with all the lights on.

Great job by the way!

The best part of this mount is there are two pushpins you can pop out and it is a perfect spot.

The wires I described for upfitter switch #6 had both power and ground wires

Per my previous post

I actually think I have seen you driving this thing around in Scottsdale! Did you have to take the bumper off to install these? Also I am not sure if it bothers you but, if you take the 4 screw off the front you can flip the face plate so the letters aren't upside down on the light

Its a nice upgrade from the 2010 and 2014 Raptors I have had, however the 6.2 Raptor is still a beast.... The technology upgrades going from a 2014 to a 2024 are truly wonderful.

Do you think 2 squadrons are enough?
Do you mind posting a night picture?
