Figured I would start one of these as I go along.
Coming from a power wagon that I built out too,cub imo I’m going to try to keep this one a little more oem looking.
This weekends project was installing the RCI bumper with the overland vehicle systems scar 10 winch. Got the winch on sale from optics planet of all places and also used a coupon code ending up with it shipped to my door for 421$.
So just some notes about the bumper
First off I love the fit and finish of it. The license plate mounts in the original spot and doesn’t interfere with anything.
The trd off road skid plate doesn’t work with the bumper. I left it on, but you have to remove the front two bolts to get the bumper under it. No biggie as I’ll be running rci skids soon enough.
I’m running the TH grille with cali raised 20 inch light bar mounted using a bracket design I made which is part aluminum and part pa6-cf.
tires are Toyo 285/75R17 and the wheels are icon anza with 25mm offset.
I have a long bed and I’m currently working on a sort of “weather proof” bed divider. The idea is to run a 5 foot bed tonneau cover and leave about a 13 inch gap up near the cab so I could mount my spare tire against the cab and still have at least 5 feet of covered space.
icon suspension is en route and I’ll be installing that next weekend and cali raised sliders on order no clue when they’ll ship but looking forward to it.
