I was initially interested in the factory dash cams, but the $500 price was hard to justify—especially after the salesperson mentioned that the built-in Wi-Fi can interfere with CarPlay. After doing some research, I ended up going with the VIOFO A119 Mini 2. Project Farm has a great dash cam comparison, and there are plenty of other positive reviews out there as well.

One nice feature is that you can disable the Wi-Fi directly with a button on the camera. I also picked up the Dongar Pro Kit for the install, which was quick and straightforward. Overall, I’m really happy with both the installation process and the camera’s performance.

That's the route I took. Just hooked it up a few days ago. Easy install. Total cost around $200 for camera, memory card, and dongle from Amazon. Got mine with the GPS. (Not sure if they all have this.) Video playback looks nice.

I like the voice functionality like "Take photo". Easy hands free operation.
