Has anyone scaled their Tacoma yet? If the 1200lb rating actually includes occupants as it's worded, that would suggest a curb weight of around 5100lbs which seems a bit high to me?

These payloads on the door stickers are likely way off of actual GVWR minus curb weight. Car and Driver weighed a premium OR at about 4800 lbs (https://www.caranddriver.com/toyota/tacoma) which should be one of the heaviest non-hybrid models. That would put actual payload closer to 1450.

All the other reviewers and youtubers are just reading these stickers and not actually weighing trucks. It's driving me nuts to be honest

I picked up a 2024 Tacoma SR5 double cab long bed a few days ago. Just has heated seats and bed rails (no upgrade package or anything)

Weighed in at 4760 with (almost) full tank and 210lb passenger.

Curb weight: About 4550

GVWR: 6005

Payload: About 1445

So, the TRD Sport has a higher payload than the legendary TRD Off-Road.
