Just need the battery to give its 350 range as a solid number and the Harvester to give its 150 range or more depending on tank size. Big point will be how fast does the Harvester charge the battery back in its use and for how long can you do that with tank sizes and charge speeds, driving and parked.
Can’t wait I ordered both with the Harvester. Wanted the Traveler and Terra but selected the Traveler first then my wife said she is taking it from me. So I had to reserve the Terra too lol. Guess it all works out in the end :)
I’m hoping the Harvester driving dynamics are not different from the pure EV version. How they manage the weight distribution of less battery with the engine in back and fuel in front will be key.

Alaska is a special case, has poor charging infrastructure, and not at all like the driving 99.8% of people do in the lower 48.
Every where has a poor charging infrastructure. It should be that for every 10 gas stations a EV charging station has to be installed.
Drove by today - must be on holiday - lot was empty...

Drove by again today - parking lot was completely full - spun through but no Scout's in site, plenty of EVs tho - even a CT...

For me, 150 miles on battery and 350 on gas sounds great. Provided I could fill the tank and continue without losing performance. Even with a low battery.

With the EREV, 150 miles on battery would cover 90% of my use. Other times, even the BEV's 350 miles wouldn't be enough. I often pull a trailer, so mileage ratings would be a lot less.

Some areas I go have no electricity, let alone charging infrastructure. I can carry extra gas easier than additional electricity.

Hopefully, the EREV's reduced battery size offsets the weight of the Harvester system. Heavy weight is not your friend off road.
There should be no compromise in performance if you decide never to plug it in. If you choose to do so, you should be able to drive exclusively on gas and not feel like you are giving anything up. Does anyone know if the battery will charge up when driving on petrol?

The Harvester is a generator that will recharge the vehicle's high voltage battery. The generator does not supply power to the wheels.

I understand. My hope is that it will will keep up with my driving requirements as well as charge the battery up. I like the idea that I will never have to plug in if I choose not to.

I don't know about everyone else but car people, enthusiast are usually dreamers and when we see something that's close to our dream we get excited for we cannot wait to see it in real life and make it ours and add our touches. Scout has teased us but they are smarter than most they know there are many dreamers out there with loads of great ideas all you need to do is ask have a conversation. Refreshing and gratifying. Looking forward to being part of the dream. Go Eagles !!!
