LOL true, I just want a good excuse to visit San Antonio! I won't complain if they come to the DFW Metroplex either. They'll get a LOT of people if they go there!

Craziness. Never realized how many people are in DFW.

It's insane, one town in the metroplex, Frisco, had a population of just 35K in 2000. Now it's sitting at 225K, and every other town like it all around is doing the same!

Well ain’t that some growth. I have family around there, so I’d take it. Come to DFW, Slate!

I bought my first starter house in Frisco in 1992 because it was out in the boonies and the cheapest town to buy one. Only 14K people, one main road, one high school, middle school and elementary. There are so many high schools today that they have their own division. And now I've got a Universal Studios park going in down the road. It's been a crazy ride.

California is the largest leading EV numbers of vehicles sold !
According to their social media, they have a wrapped vehicle with SUV kit at Motoring Coffee in L.A. for the month (not sure if that's just the rest of the month or a month from when they posted)

Apparently it's on display for "the rest of the month" at Motoring Coffee, 11728 W. Olympic Blvd. in Los Angeles. This isn't in the Venice neighborhood that the Slate design team seems fond of, but it's nearby, and also convenient to the 405 freeway from Long Beach. Here's a link if you want a better look at the pictures.

Slate Auto Pickup Truck Event Tour Locations & Dates are back up! Multiple dates for Detroit, 2 days for Warsaw and 4 dates for Cleveland, OH display

In ‘92 Mansfield was 16k and was considered pretty rural. Now it’s 85k people but parts have remained pretty rural. South Dallas I feel is the next area of DFW to see explosive development.

Good to see that Slate is adding and updating this. BUT, the Detroit one is in four days, still no location or time. Makes it hard to plan.

And, I chatted with them twice about this. They suggested I sign up for the email list, which I did the first weekend after launch. No updates about events have shown up in email.

And, they suggest "Follow @SlateAuto to find out". They have several "socials" at the bottom of the page. The only one that is @SlateAuto is YouTube. Go there and there aren't any event announcements I see. Do they maybe mean Twitter? That's heavily boycotted by almost everyone I know.

(further grumbling is that I was in Detroit last week, not ready for another 3 1/2 hour one way drive)

I'm totally weaned OFF social media so I was hoping Slate would email me about any Michigan events but they haven't. Maybe for the July dates in Detroit they will or someone will post on this site. But it's not the end of the world. The production is a long way off which is what really matters.
