Ford.ca Does not offer the 4X2

I am maybe interested in the 4X2 Ranger. I looked on the Canadian site and they do not offer it.
Has anyone asked a Dealership if you can get the 4X2. One of the things I did notice on a 5G US Ranger you could get a Lariat Scab. This is ridiculous if we cannot order a 4X2 in Canada.

It's cause they require AWD and 4x4 cause of snow. I know at least for other vehicles AWD is standard

4x2 just don't sell in Canada like they use to that's the main reason Ford and most other manufactures don't bring them to Canada anymore.

That theory is not very accurate, parts of Canada don't even see snow. Heck where I am from we might see it for a month out of 12 months.

Can't speak to the Canadian model, but US build and price tool let me choose between 4x2 and 4x4 right at the very 1st step of building my truck. I configured it and submitted at my dealer. Sales manager didn't like it though because in his words "I can't sell a 2-wheel drive here if you decide not to take delivery".

Canadian website only has 4wd model you can't select 2wd.
