I really wanted to buy a 2025 Ranger. My requirement were pretty basic. I wanted the 2.7L V6 and a Supercab with a 6 ft bed. A Tremor with that would have been ideal but I could build my own if needed. Ford came through on the V6 engine but failed me on the Supercab. Now, I will be looking for alternatives. I have been a Ford man all my life and changing that could be difficult but not impossible.

Nobody builds those anymore because they never sold any. You say you're looking for alternatives, I'll save you some time. Your only choices are a low-end Tacoma, or a low-end Frontier. Meaning you'll have a screen the size of a postage stamp surrounded by 3 ft. of plastic and basic cruise control if you're lucky.

And you can eliminate the Tacoma since it's a 4 cylinder only now as well. Hello Nissan!

Enjoy being a rounding error for Ford.

. . . Supercab with a 6 ft bed.
I'm in the same boat, am hoping by yr-2026 Ford or GM Twins wake-up and bring back Supercab 6'bed. And the Japanese options are disappointing trim/feature wise.

As are the Ford/GM full-size regular cab short box trim/features as a substitute.

But I'm not hopeful for 2026 as "real" pickup truck users aren't the Ford/GM target market anymore.
Second family car luxury (and profits) with minimum production line differences is the business model.

As of now, I will probably just continue to drive my 02 FX4. I has over 300K miles on it, but it drives and runs as did when new. It is still in great condition too. I was planning to keep it anyway, but wanted to get a new vehicle to keep the miles down on my trusty 02.

I was like you. All my previous trucks were supercabs, with the 2 stubby rear doors and 6' beds. But this time, i started to like the idea of being able to transport 3 grown adults besides myself, instead of just 1, and with a bed extender, not the weird pintched one Ford sells, but a propper almost square one, you actually have more than 6' of bed space on demand, when needed, plus extra enclosd space to haul. It grew on me and now I'm very glad i bought the Quad cab.

Can't you still get one of those in the F150?
Yes, that is true . . . for myself current full-size supercab are just too big, a regular cab F-150 becomes more size manageable but lacks options.

My '90 F-150 SWB regular cab was about the same size as my '17 extended cab Colorado.

Odds for 2026 are very small. Ford lost a 2025 order from me as well, but I will just buy a low-mileage used example.

My 96 F-150 SCLB was barely longer than my Raptor, so I understand size constraints. But if you must have a 6ft bed, that's about your best option in terms of actually having a usable truck for truck stuff. But I admit I'm biased against Nissan and haven't had any fondness for Tacomas over the last decade or so due to their terrible interiors. 4Runner okay, Taco, rubbish. Shrug

complete BS, but you probably know that. I was in same situation as OP here and educated myself on the 3rd gen Frontier after someone here pointed me the King Cab. My 2024 Frontier SV King Cab with Technology and Convenience packages has top of the line equipped Ranger XLT beat easily and moving into Lariat territory. And it comes standard with the V6 too and was $37.5k OTD.

carry on with your delusion waiting for Ford to match it- if they can.

Why is your need for a 6ft a deal breaker?? What are you gaining or i guess maintaining with that extra foot?
