I just realized... is that a fully electric tacoma?
No, it's a TRD Offroad. It's been making the rounds. Toyota doesn't like all electrics. I think I saw an interview with their CEO where he said they aren't sustainable. They are pushing Hydrogen Fuel Cells and Hybrids. Toyota has a hybrid Tacoma coming out in the Spring. I think they have one full electric that's actually a rebranded Subaru.

Clearly the guy doing the walk around didn’t know that only one cab/bed combo was available. He lost some credibility as a journalist with that fail in my eyes.

Looks a little more roomie in the back seat compared to the competition. I love the clean and uncluttered interior design too. Definitely my favorite new midsize interior with the GM twins right behind. The Tacoma looks like it was cobbled together in a rush and the freestanding screen an afterthought.

Just super disappointed in only one cab/bed configuration, no hybrid engine and no Tremor package.

Yup I knew that. I was just confused by that grill. It looks a lot like the lightning grill

Nothing drives me crazier then when a Youtuber points out what we can already see with our own eyes.

"It's a big grill and it says 'FORD' across the front"

No shit, Sherlock!

Raiti's Rides is the worst offender of this. I can't stand his videos. 20-30 minutes of "the front bumper swoops down here and has a big opening. The wheels are large and have a star pattern."

Absolutely mind-numbing!

Raiti videos are fine when they’re muted. I like how he actually goes in and shows what it’s like on the inside. Manufacturer photos are are always deceptive with wide angle lenses. Videos do a much better job of conveying what the space actually feels like and what the materials actually look like. You can make a vinyl interior look luxurious in a photo but it’s hard to fake a video.

You’ve just described my biggest problem with everything being on you tube nowadays. Most or at least too many, 20min video has 2 mins of useful content, which I could get in 2 mins worth of reading an article instead. 18 mins of absolute shite filler narrated by somebody droning on who has less business being behind a camera narrating than I do.

From my understanding, the youtube algorithm favors content beyond 10 minutes. Maybe even 15 now. Numerous reasons for this, but chief among them is the ability for youtube to inject more ads into longer videos without pissing off viewers, and the more someone sits on a video the more likely they're to continue watching youtube rather than going to netflix.

So for these youtube content creators, they gotta pump up their video length to get favor from the algorithm to grow their channel. The more i've come to know content creators and get to know them the more i've learned that a lot of their habits that annoy us are just them reacting to the environment that google/youtube has trapped them in.

so here we are where videos are 15 minutes long when they could've been 2 minutes.

i become concerned when a youtuber says, "i quit my job to pursue running this channel full time." immediately i know that they're going to have to play youtube/google's game, which might annoy me.

anyway, on topic: i am actually digging the raptor ranger looks more than the tacoma now. it's a shame the lower trims look like such booty because the raptor ranger looks like a straight king slayer. hopefully aftermarket helps out a ton cuz i can't afford a raptor ranger... that is, of course, when ford wakes up from their silliness and gives us a long bed crew cab option (plzzzzz).

Here's a new video showing the indoor course they have for the Ranger Raptor.

Gah!! I can't wait!!! I hope the strike ends soon.

Sigh I want mine so bad. But I'm not even scheduled yet, and there's a strike. So good.

So how long do you think it will last? My guess is 1 to 2 weeks. And I wonder how it will affect my build date.

A conservative estimate would be to take the number of days the strike lasts and add it to your build date. That’s probably the best case scenario. In reality, add about 10-20% to that. My guess at least.
