The fact that 166 or whatever number it was of the 2024's that did come off the assembly line at the Michigan Assembly Plant before the strike tells me that production of the 2023's had ended and that 2024's were actually being made (and some dealers had them). The question now is whether or not Broncos are getting priority over Rangers on the production line. Does anyone know if any Rangers are now coming off the production line ? I was expecting December delivery but now am sure that has slipped by at least 6 weeks.

As of last week they had not built any Rangers post strike. My brother works at the plant. He wasn't sure when Rangers would start again.
Everyday that passes, the Tacoma is becoming more and more of a reality.

You must be new here. Only part of your post I'd agree with is they're probably done producing 2023 Rangers. Last I saw is they will restart 2024 production with quality runs and media samples. Remember Thanksgiving break is coming up, then a couple weeks back building before Christmas break which could shut them down until after New Years. I wouldn't expect any customer ordered builds before mid-January at the earliest. Probably won't see any arriving at dealers until February.

The plant was down for 6 weeks and the launch hasn't started yet. It was supposed to be Job1 right before they shut down. It is going to take time to get this going again. Think of all the suppliers that were idled when the strike started. Many of these parts are JIT(Just in Time) you just don't hit the go button and everything goes back to normal unfortunately. They have struggled just to get Bronco started again due to multiple issues. This strike was incredibly disruptive.

Not for me. I'm actually shopping Nissan Frontier King Cab right now. That and a new Ranger SCab with 6' bed are the only 2 I consider upgrade over my Maverick. YMMV

2023 Ranger Production has ended but I believe MAP is still trying to get the remaining scheduled 2023 Broncos off the line.

As a data point, prior to the strike my build date was October 16 and I'm currently looking at January 15.

None of your business!
As much as I support unions (used to be in L39 engieers here in CA), it's a double edged sword. Sometimes, union greed also makes it look like they are the victims when in fact they are not ...no one gives 2 chits about the actual workers..neither Ford nor the union cos both parties are getting paid weekly. In the end, contracts are negotiatied and both the unions and the corporate parties rise a whiskey and have a toast.

The front line worke on a month strike with barely any real pay gets a measley $2/hr pay rise and the union makes it look like they've achieved a milestone.

And the reason why Toyota doesnt do unions and continue rolling trucks off the assembly line all year around . I left my unionjob years ago and now in consultant/management (dark side of the moon). Far more comfortable in both pay and job security and dont have to deal with union cut-throats threatening me back to the strike line otherwise they'll take me to court for disobeying union strike rules.

Did you say Toyota is not a union shop? Maybe it's time for us to boycott the unions?
Aren't these workers already pretty well paid?
Now my truck costs more and I have to wait a rediculous amount of time to get it.

Not only are they non-union, but after the UAW had to strike for months to get wages increased, Toyota, Honda & Hyundai bumped their hourly wages after the strike concluded.

If I had to go without a real paycheck for months to get $32/hr, and then I watched a non-union competitor bump wages the same amount without anyone needing to take strike-pay for weeks or give a portion of each paycheck....well I'd probably be filling out a new job application.

It's funny people trash the unions when those wage hikes at non union factories are a direct result of the unions...

Yeah it’s totally reasonable to pack up your entire family and spend thousands to move across the country to work for Toyota out of spite.
