Just received this information - Backwoods front bumper

This is a prototype that is going to be released most likely in the next a couple of months from Backwoods.

I must say the 4th gen is harder to make a bumper for. This one has promise.

Not going to lie. When I read "Backwoods" I opened the thread expecting to see just a log as a bumper and I'm a bit disappointed.

I’ve been following their development closely as well. Should be available with no hoops, prerunner style, and full bull bar. I like the outer aluminum shell for lightness and the steel cradle for strength. These are produced by some great guys here in Arkansas and I can’t wait to get mine.

Are they testing for air flow to the radiator / intercooler? Testing / comparing the temperatures at the intercooler and radiator on a stock bumper truck and this bumper, running the same course together on a hot day? The stock bumper has holes on the under-side that presumably may be designed to force air up into the cooler area.

They make bumpers for the 4th gen Tundra and I haven’t heard of any issues with airflow with those. Might be a good idea to reach out though and ask.

It is a good looking bumper, but I would want more information on it. I read somewhere that ARB is coming out with a front bumper. Since they have a direct relation with Toyota engineers, it should be a safer bet for fit and function. I have not heard if it will be winch capable though. I hope it is.
