Here's my new baby - a 2024 Lariat. Loving it so far. I had a really old beaten up F150 about 20 years ago. This feels just as big as that truck. I heavily debated this vs the Toyota Tacoma. This guy won - more bang for the buck (Lariat for price of lower trim on Tacoma), box that can hold a 4x8, better mileage, rated better by Car and Driver and others, higher reliability per Consumer Reports, higher towing and I think nicer screen and interior setup, and nice ride.
Mod so far are pretty minimal - antenna replaced with a stubby, dashcam installed (wired to fusebox) and net installed in the back (the Muslogy recent covered in this sub!). I learned about J-braces too late, but I will get them installed. I have 500 miles on her, and I plan to do an early oil change at around 750 miles.
I'll be saving for a T-slotted hard-rolling tonneau and rails.
