Hey guys, ford is in the process of buying back my bronco and im a glutton for punishment. Im looking at the Ranger raptors but all the ones I’ve seen online have pretty wrinkly driver seats. Is this a widespread issue? How’s everyone’s interior holding up?

Another thread posted in the “issues” section on this. Loose fitting seat covers or not enough fill, along with pretty horrid stitching lines…not enough to tarnish my view of the truck to be honest, and hopefully something Ford will in time acknowledge and remedy, but TBD since seemingly cosmetic only and the seats still function fine, but definitely doesn’t look great. Wouldn’t let this be a reason to avoid the truck, especially at a “value price” relative to the TRD Pro. My gut is Ford addresses these early model year issues in 26 and beyond, but also likely with a higher price point.

Automated manufacturing machines just happens to be my profession!
Then its impressive that you think UAW workers caused this and every other issue. Continue to drink the fox news koolaid and think unions are bad and cause every problem with anything. The seat leather being bad is a materials design choice, not an assembly choice.

I just noticed that. I’m torn between the zr2/zr2 bison and the ranger raptor. I look the Ranger raptor more I think but the seat would bother me. I wonder if an upholstery should could steam it?

I will 100% disagree with you there.
Stitching that isn’t straight and seat cushions that are under-filled are a manufacturing issue. Not material.

What does Fox News have to do with UAW workers being terrible at their jobs?

The seats aren't made by UAW workers. I was told they are a third-party supplier by a Ford engineer.

For what it’s worth, my drivers seat looks better today after 400 miles than it did on day 1…seemingly breaking in and looking less “loose” despite my original assumption that it would get worse and not better with time…TBD on final outcome just worth noting.

And to the point above on Bison vs this truck, that to me is like choosing a restaurant because of the napkins. I’m a detail oriented guy and this has zero impact on my enjoyment of this truck. Would pick over engine, feel, experience, suspension, utility, sound, ergonomics…seats being a little loose would have zero impact for me personally. Nice if it wasn’t so? Yes. Game changer? 100% no

Thanks for the update and reply. I wouldn’t not pick the ranger necessarily because of the seat. The rangers have markups, the bisons don’t. I like the 35’s from factory, I like the way the bison looks a tad more among other things. My bronco was nothing but problems so I’m a little worried getting back into a ford but I’ve been in fords my whole life and I do like a lot of what the Ranger has to offer, I haven’t been able to find one to test drive yet.

Exactly my attitude with this truck. Though the placement of the shark fin is kind of pissing me off - yet not enough to not buy the truck.

A close friend purchased a ‘23 ZR2, it’s certainly a beautiful truck. The problem that I have with it is the 4 cylinder engine & lack of power. When he first purchased it he took me for a ride & I really did like the truck but when he let me out in front of my house & drove away while I was still standing on the passenger side of the truck, the exhaust sound reminded me of George Jetson. It just sounds so pussyfied, appearance wise the truck looks awesome but the engine has no balls!!

I shared the same sentiments when I drove it. I don’t crave speed and it was just enough to not be underpowered but I’d be lying if I didn’t want just a little bit more.
