Had the OTT tune installed this morning. Was debating about doing it because coming from a tuned Tacoma the 6G was already so much better. But...this was definitely an upgrade.

Throttle response is much better. It's like the turbo is unlocked, kicking in earlier and staying engaged longer.

I've only had it for a few hours but rolling at like 55 MPH the MPG display is looking to be about 25 MPG vs the 18.2 I've been averaging. I'll check back in after a week or so to see how that performance changes.

Nice. I've been texting with the local vendor for OTT, just need to get everything finalized.

Hey OP, I live in CA. Any idea if you can switch this tune back when it's time for DOT inspection? I know you probably don't have to worry about it in CO but over here in commifornia it's a PITA to tune cars. TIV!!

Yes your tuner can flash back to stock easily, like 20 min. Unsure if they charge for it though. Also not sure if it even effects the DOT inspections, I passed all emissions tests here when I had my Tacoma tuned with no issue.

Is going VFR direct to local vendors the move for 6G tunes? I was on the OTT site like yesterday and didn’t see support for the gen yet under 4Runner.

Edit: answered my own question with google. Appreciate the op bringing visibility to available OTT tunes

Hi, I just wanted to follow up on what changes you witnessed in your MPG? I'm heavily contemplating this tune as I slapped on 285/70R/17 Wildpeak M/T's C-loads to the stock wheels and crushed my MPG. Thanks

What I have noticed is 65MPH and under I am getting about 19.4 which is about 1 MPG better. However when driving over 65, especially with cruise control the MPGs dive into the low 17s. I can't really complain as I am on E load wildpeaks so I am not MPG hunting. I guess it comes down to what kind of driving you do mostly.

Thanks for the response. Only city travel during the week, highways and trails on weekends (if i can). My MPG currently is about 13 city and 16 highway. Yes I know I have a lead foot but still, I try to be conscientious.

I think I am an odd one but I get better milage running to the store or gym than HWY with this tune.
