Does anyone have experience relocating the parking sensors? How did it work out and what should I be considering before I attempt this? Did they need to be reprogrammed after relocating (I hope not)?
I’m specifically intending to add fender flares and will need to relocate the side sensors on the existing wheel arches. I bought the retention clips and am hoping that I can just use the existing sensors in new holes on the new flares (in appropriately the same position).
Alternatively I could just turn them off, but I’d rather keep the existing functionality. Can I just shut them off in the touchscreen or is that a Forscan job?
I’m sure I’m oversimplifying this in my head so I want to check to see if someone else has done it and has any tips.
