Rear View Mirror Power for Radar Detector

Searched for this and I see a few that are specific to the Ranger Raptor, but not the standard Ranger FX4.
Does anyone know which connector I can tap into for a radar detector (in the shroud above the rear view)?
Is this the same as the RR??

never mind...I figured it out.

I tied in to the fusebox in the cab, driver's side under the steering wheel using a fuse bridge and routing the wire up the left side of the windshield behind the plastic and along the top of windshield to the mirror. Works like a champ when truck is turned on.

I'm not sure on the RR differences to FX4 but pull the shroud and check the wiring and compare to mine:

If wiring looks the same, get a mirror tap and call it a day. If not, then you could just get a fuse tap and plug into the fuse box under the steering wheel/dash.

There is another thread that shows how to use micro taps into the power behind the rear view mirror. I did that and am very happy with the results. blendmount has the information and taps. I went with a longer cord. Needed.

Are there still police that use radar? I stopped using my radar detector a few years ago because the only alarms I got were false alarms. I thought speeding enforcement had switched over to laser.

Highly dependent on your region. Small town and county sheriff deputies in my location run radar 100% when they're driving and they are easy to pick up early. Same with State Troopers. But if they're stationary, sitting in speed traps, they'll get you with laser.

I did the same as this post, worked great. I wonder if the Aus version USB port is available and works with our wiring?
