Stumbled onto this the other day and wondering if others have seen similar or not. Also wondering, if so, if it explains a lot of frustrations some folks have with "remote start not working".

Having a massive heat wave here last few days, I had the truck parked outside but left the rear window open to help with heat build up. Later, when I tried to remote start the truck via the fob sequence (I do not use/subscribe to the app), it refused to do so. Would never go and I just gave up.

Next day, same place, same truck location, same me location, but truck windows all closed, it started right up remotely on the first attempt of the fob sequence.

Anyone else notice if there's a hidden requirement that all windows be closed to remote start? Or have folks been successful with one or more windows open?

(Side frustration is that when using remote start, the Bluetooth connection to the phone then never seems to establish properly later and audio never movesover to the truck, even though AA activates and everything else works)

After entering truck, after a remote start just hold the radio volume button in until it reboots to get phone to sync.

This is a PITA. I never had this issue with my ZR2. If Toy is listening, it would be an easy software fix.
If (remote start = true)
When power button pressed (driver in the truck pressed it) re-attempt blue tooth connect.

It's only the back/rear window that has to be fully closed.
It should remote start fine with any of the side ones open. Well at least with the side ones cracked a couple inches at least. I have not tried with the side ones fully open.

Yet the rear is the safest to vent/breath against random weather.
