Does anybody know anything about the seat quality that Slate plans on using? I know the goal is to keep costs down, but comfort is a big deal for me. If it’s like my RAV4, I may have to look for a replacement. If it’s like the BMW or Tesla seats then it’s a winner. The videos show what looks like a pretty thin seat. Has anybody sat in one?

On the Slate careers page, they recently posted an opening for Principal Seating Engineer. That says to me that whatever is in the prototypes is probably not a final design, and may even be just a temporary off-the-shelf placeholder part.

I would expect basic seats of good durable quality and basic comfort to keep it in line with their utilitarian goal for this truck. I would be happy if it had a manual lumbar support

Hopefully the seat mount is pretty flexible because if the stock seat is poorly made with no support or lumbar, I'll yoink a E46 sport seat and put in the truck. By far the E46 sport seats are still one of the most comfortable seats ever.
