Sun visor split?

Has anybody had the skin of their sun visor split spontaneously? This happened to mine. The thing is I rarely drive with a passenger and don’t haul stuff inside my truck. I don’t see how it could’ve happened through usage.

looks more like a cut...probably a manufacture defect...the machine making that one probably had a jam or a misfeed...take it to the dealer and have them order you up a new one...

That cut is too clean for something you have done or it naturally separating. Some defect from the factory. As mentioned take it to the dealer.
