Hey fellas! We've been getting a lot of questions about the work we've done to our shop's 2025 4Runner ORP, so we figured we'd make a thread to track the progress.

As of April 30th, the current build list is;

2025 4Runner Off-Road Premium
Everest exterior, Black interior

Suspension:
- Westcott Designs Preload Collar Lift

Wheels/Tires
- 17x8.5 +25mm Offset KMC IMS in Bronze
- 35x12.50x17 Toyo RT Trails

Roof Rack:
- Sherpa "The Capitol" Roof Rack
- Sherpa Exterior Window Panels (pics coming soon)

Lighting
- Diode Dynamics SS5 Crosslink light bar (pics coming soon)
- Diode Dynamics SS1 Rear Facing Pods
- Diode Dynamics SS6 Fog Light Kit (pics also coming soon)

A big shoutout to Sherpa, Diode Dynamics, and Westcott Designs for contributing to this build thus far.

2025 Toyota 4runner TEQ Customs 25' Everest ORP Build Thread 0E7A1744

This past weekend we had the pleasure of taking it out to Uwharrie National Forrest for it's first adventure. The stock shocks leave a lot to be desired at higher speeds (though we're spoiled), so we will greatly look forward to a shock upgrade in the near future. We just installed the window panels, SS5 crosslink, and SS6 fog kit yesterday. All lights will be wired to the new Diode Dynamics D-Switch system, which we are working on installing now.

Overall, we absolutely love the new 4Runner. Nothing is perfect, but the 6th gen was a much needed refresh, especially in the technology department. The infotainment works great (so far), front camera is helpful when off-roading, the driver assist features work well (so far), and it's actually kinda fun to drive in sport mode. Only major complaint is price. Ouch.

Those KMC bronze wheels are just 🔥 on Everest!! And +25 offset looks perfect.

Have any more angles / close ups? Do you know their weight?

Thank you! This is the best I have offhand.

They’re about 32lbs. Not the lightest, but honestly, very little difference in drivability over stock wheels/tires.

Beautiful and purposeful build. How well (or not) did the preload collar lift perform off-road? And what shocks are you guys going to go with?

The preload collar kit isn't going to add or detract from the performance of the stock suspension. All it is really doing is changing the ride height. Compared to a normal spacer kit, which definitely detracts from the performance and risks damage to your shocks, the Westcott kit is a great alternative.

I found the stock TRD OR shocks to be far too stiff. At higher speeds on gravel roads it felt like the back was going to step out because rather than dampen the impact, the shocks just bounced the rear end around. Slower crawling was ok, but you felt impacts.

Again- I'm spoiled - I typically wheel our GX with RCLT, beadlocks and tires at 8psi, well tuned Radflo suspension and a Dana 60 in the rear. But, it still left a lot to be desired.

The Westcott kit is a great option if you want the appearance or like how the factory suspension rides. It fills a need for a more cost effective and non-detrimental way to lift your vehicle.

We're likely going to be working with Dobinsons on their 6th Gen suspension.

Nice ride and I'm glad to see it being actually used off road. Any trimming needed?

Finally had the chance to get some pictures of the Diode Dynamics SS5 Crosslink, Diode Dynamics Fog Light Kit and the Sherpa window panels installed on the Sherpa roof rack.

Are you still running the stock shocks? I'm curious what aftermarket shocks are available at this time?
