I recently switched my dashcam hardwire kit from the Mangoal kit to Dongar after finding out the Mangoal was a cheap knockoff and not thoroughly tested. Because these kits interface with expensive and sensitive electronics, I wanted something legit. And thankfully, Dongar was able to send me their brand new USB-C 10-pin Type B kit for testing. This is the kit you need if you have a Premium trim or higher.
Install was super easy, and I was able to tuck the Dongar module in the shroud so it's not exposed. The Mangoal wiring was too long and it was very difficult to stuff everything behind the shroud.
In terms of the camera itself, I like how it's easily removable from the dock and is pretty low profile in general. Video quality is fine. It's a pain to access the app when used in the car, as the car's Wi-Fi interferes. I either need to use a different phone that's not connected to Android Auto or bring the dashcam inside and hook it up to a power bank. The one other issue is that for some reason the time and date keeps getting out of sync.
