Stop Sale
If the hold is that long on these we might as well be getting the 26 model then or discounted 25

the 25 will be discounted as in the price of the 26 will increase anyway.

MY prices increase is typically 500-900 per year depending on model/trim

Just got the phone call that my HB SR5 is at port in NJ and is on the 30 day QC hold with no available date to dealer given. There were a total of 10 that were to be delivered to the same dealer that is showing the same hold.

I just learned that My Trailhunter was put on QC Hold as well. ETA 22 days. I was supposed to get it tomorrow. I'd rather they fix whatever needs fixing now, rather than be stuck later on... And I was told it was all 4Runners. (I was wondering if it was Hybrids only, or OffRoad only).

The dealer says it can be earlier... We'll see. Siiigh

Mine is a SR5 that just hit the port in NJ and on QC hold
my original date was 5.26.25-6.17.25. it was then changed to 6.14.25 doing away with the 5.26.25 date. I was then told 6.11.25 and back to 6.14.25. Now just a 30 day QC hold with no availability to dealer date. Hoping it is to fix the brake squealing that is being reported. I could careless if they fix the airdam as that is coming off before I leave the dealership.

My sales rep response to hold. Her opinion….bright side, this hold took effect last Thursday so about 5 days down…:)
“Yes I just confirmed it is a quality control hold and to check back Friday at noon. These normally don't take long. I see them come off hold within a matter of a week or two.”

My deposit was on a non-hybrid TRD ORP. My sales person speculated it was related to the JBL speaker, I'm speculating he's trying to placate me and doesn't know $#!+

My dealership called yesterday. The shipment in Jacksonville, FL is being held up as well. He told me it was being held for inspection. Wondering if that’s the same as QC?

Probably all the same thing. I don't think anyone knows besides Toyota corporate. I don't think they are even letting the dealers know the reason. I keep checking my vin on NHTSA for recalls just in case something pops up

+1 for the brake squeal over the airdam.
I am happy to wait an extra 30 days to avoid the inconvenience and frustration of a potential issue which could have been resolved before delivery.

Mine is at the Jacksonville port too. I guess we'll have ours at the same time. Yeah even the dealers don't know why. I got a good relationship with mine, and he doesn't know. Unless your rep has inside information, I doubt he knows...

What I wonder, is all the others here who were "lucky" to get their 4runner before the qc hold, will they have a surprise later? Or did Toyota identified something wrong with a newer batch....I think they should be forthcoming with the info, especially now while the sales are starting on the new model... It's not like there's already a million of them on the road. Oh well it is what it is...

My question is what remedies can be done to these vehicles sitting in a parking lot?

Maybe we should just start rumors that way if they spread maybe Toyota will have to tell us the truth

It's not really a parking lot, the port is where they install all the factory options you or the dealer picked up for the cars, so if they need to modify anything ( ok probably not replace a transmission, but smaller things) they are equipped to do it there.
