I’ve been building a relationship with a dealer since the bronco order fiasco after several attempts to order a badlands Sasquatch package. I was the first one in the door the second I heard the ranger raptor was coming to the usa. Spoke to my guy there and locked me into spot 1 for msrp. Yes I’m very lucky but also wanted to spread positive energy out there that not all dealerships will try and get 5-15k over.

Ford Ranger Placed my 2024 Ranger Raptor order @ MSRP. There are still honest dealerships out there. D42FA42E-BAAF-42AE-A540-20BE971752CC

I'm in the same boat as you and feel fortunate. Just hope it doesn't take forever to get it. 😀

Yes, there are still honest ethical dealers out there but unfortunately there aren’t as many as there are unethical. Fortunately I was able to locate a honest dealer that has agreed to sell his only allocation to me for MSRP.😊

Congrats! For both the vehicle and the purchase price. Now may I ask you, and all Raptor purchasers, what options are you adding (understanding the options can darn near be counted on one or two hands)?

I personally just went with the graphics package. I didn’t want any hold up for something simple like mud flaps which I’d rather purchase after the fact anyway.

1 of 2 dealers responded today asking MSRP + $15k, if the other is not reasonable I’ll be happy to wait or consider the Tacoma.

I’m sure the Tacoma won’t have any markup whatsoever.

I agreed to 2 over, I'm content. Same build less decals.

I only added keyless keypad and spray-in bed liner for mine.

I was on the fence about the bed liner. Manager told me they were having some delay with mud flaps and Bed liners. Rather get the bed liner done locally.

I am glad you found an ethical dealer. I thought I had one too.

I am very disappointed in Mullinax Ford in Olympia, Washington. At first they said I could order a Ranger Raptor for MSRP and no deposit, just like I did on my '22 Maverick Lariat FX4 deal with them. I was excited.

By the time I went to place the order, they had some story about how they only received an allocation of just 1 Raptor. So they want a $5000 deposit for it and it will be probably $30k markup, but they haven't settled on the number yet.

But if I wanted, I could order any other trim Ranger and they would honor MSRP and no deposit.

I was very disappointed. They are a very high volume dealer. The story seems fishy about how they specifically know that in their allocations of Rangers only 1 can be a Raptor. They have always been great to work with in the past. My Maverick deal was flawless. I guess it's good they were upfront with me and they didn't pull shenanigans after the truck arrived.

I did consider a Lariat FX4. But once spec'ing out as well as possible, I am within just a few thousand of Raptor price. And that leaves me with the 2.3L and missing some major equipment/upgrades/aesthetics. Raptor is a huge value compared to Lariat after options.

I have purchased several vehicles from Mullinax Ford and sent them several customers. I think my relationship with them is probably through.

It makes no sense financially to purchase an FX4 Lariat. Raptor or bust. I may just hold on to my Maverick longer and consider something else than a Ranger for replacement.

I’ve learnt here that’s true, each dealer gets allocation for 1 Raptor in job 1. They’re being as up front about that. We’ll have to see if that changes through the week now that orders are being put in. I suspect many dealers will try to submit the orders anyways & hope they have committed enough customers to wait until additional allocation opens later on. Or Ford has changed the rules again & your dealer is going off last week’s memo.

Now of course they can ask what they will, sorry to hear your normal dealer is thinking about a huge markup if you want it! I expect mine would be the same. Here they clear out F150 Raptors like they’re XLT’s & have people buy GT500s with cash. So though I haven’t asked my sales guy, I’m sure their one allocation is spoken for already by a collector that will pay whatever they ask.
