Now that the Ranger BASE rails are live, it’s time for the fun part – building out all the modular components that make the system truly come alive.

Here’s an early rendition of what we’re working on today: a bed-mounted chase rack that can be set up to hold either one or two spare tires (stock size up to 35s). Beyond just tires, this system will accept a wide range of add-ons in the center section, such as:
  • Jack mounts
  • Fuel can mounts
  • Chase lights
  • Antenna brackets
  • Starlink Mini mounts
  • Milwaukee Packout mounts
We’ll also be integrating a center slide option that works with this setup – perfect for running a fridge or Packouts on the slide while still having tire and gear capacity above.

In short: limitless options.

Keep in mind, this is an early preview – just a teaser to show what’s in development. There’s still a lot to finish up before production.

So here’s my question to you:
👉 What would you like to see mounted to the Ranger BASE system?

What would be cool are some mounting brackets for the Pelican BX line boxes. Any thoughts? Super cool product btw, really like the stuff you guys are putting out.

Thanks! I'm not familiar with those specific boxes. Pelican stuff, absolutely, but for external storage boxes, we lean toward ROAM Boxes. They have some nice quick-release brackets that we use pretty often.

Are you making one that lays flat and as room for a jack??

Absolutely! This one is going to get more attention, so it's first. 🤣 But, that's coming as well. We may even make a version that puts the tire at a slight angle so we can put the jack and impact below the front end of the tire.

I am looking to put a spare flat in the back “35” so I can cover it under my bed cover.

We'll absolutely handle that. Actually, you could do that now with our BASE system. The floor rails have our dogbone cutouts in them. You could put in L-track single stud connectors and ratchet strap the tire on top of the BASE rails. We could definitely build a simple tray that bridges the gap and provides a mounting surface for the jack and tire tools. That would be pretty easy. This could also be done with a Y-strap for extra cool points. Attached is a Raptor R we built with a similar request. We used L-Track in his, but we also drilled about 50 holes in the bed. 🤣

Any updates on when this may be ready/price? Or other options for the BASE system like a bike rack? @AdventureLab

My BASE rails come in tomorrow and I'm eager to get the tires standing upright!

Cheers

I'm hoping to have one of the tire racks on display at the Raptor Rally on the 23. "Hoping" being the key there. 😁 We have a ton of products in the hopper right now.

I would love to do a bike rack. We would probably just adapt an existing bike "roof rack" setup to the rails, rather than reinvent the wheel there. Something like this would be cool - https://1up-usa.com/product/roof-rack

Thanks for the business!

Thanks for this. It would be cool if it were like one of the options that freedom coast has developed (a fork mount or standing option that fits in the L-Track dog bones). A full tray is a bit overkill for in the bed. I would much rather have a front wheel mount with a rear tire holder coming off the back rail.

Keep me posted on the tire rack! I'd love to grab one of the first ones, happy to put it through the test!

Oh man, that HOVR Rack is my kind of overkil! that thing looks trick.

A cool setup would be to have that HOVR rack at the front end of the bed and mount the bikes rear-facing. I believe it may require the tailgate to be open, though, especially with the longer wheelbase bikes.

Like this.

Their adjustable fork mount looks great, too. With the front tire removed, they should fit much better in the Ranger.

Here's the current situation.

I cut one of the tire racks today with the expectation that we have it in the truck tomorrow mid-morning.

New slider and drawer are a perfect fit! The drawer will hold tool rolls, jack, burritos, etc. The slide will hold a fridge and gas can(s).

Drawer: 17.5 (external width) x 6 (internal height) x 52 (depth)
Slide: 17.5 (external width) x 52 (depth)
