I'm getting the runaround from the Ford tech line. 4 calls and 5 emails over the last 10 days. They are always "going to get around to it," or they need something else.
My tuner (that I purchased in January in anticipation of this release) won't store my factory config and therefore won't...
Like with lots of things I went a different way. In these trucks, you're not "hiding" a rifle in the cab from anyone looking, period. The seat storage is too small and behind the rear seat you'd need a toy .22 if anything is going to fit and even that is doubtful. So, hide it in plain sight...
I am going to link to the youtube video I did for this. I am NOT a content creator but every now and then I find a thing that might help others.
This is a short summary of what parts I used to install a VIOFO dashcam, Bel (yes, old) radar detector and the adapters and plugs used.

No, this is going to be primarily street stock with a few goodies...
Well I finally got to this yesterday and today. Not that it took that long but I doubled up on the install of a couple of light kits (ditch lights for my upcoming trailer build plus a bed light kit) and I went back and forth between them with the Lion's share of time to the running of wires...
Lol I am no mechanic and I will be shocked if I even need the instructions.
Its a safe easy mod. I have at least a week of chaos before I get to this as I am retiring in a month and have a bunch of loose ends that come first (hard deadline). The real question you should be asking is which...
I have one sitting in the box ready to go as soon as I get an hour to install it. they are very well reviewed and I've had one on a previous vehicle and it was a trouble free 12-15 bhp gain
I have a dry S&B sitting in its box waiting to go on my XLT which will be accompanied by a tune. I have been happy with what I have read about them. The cat back exhaust is where I think the $/HP is a minimal gain. Now if I could remove the cats...
And with Ford's dismal record on releasing...
I just got mine and installed the tonneau cover and tailgate seal which should be cured now.
When I get to this I will use HVAC silver tape for the rails as I used it for the front bed rail after I smoothed down the bed spray a bit.
Will try a few washes and rain storms first though to see how...
